Triathlon Reflection

Reflection for the triathlon

Something I was pleased with was how I passed Ashley right at the last second.

                            

because after that I felt really really proud.

I really enjoyed learning how if I put my mind to it, I can do it!

                   

that was really awesome, because, I did not know I could do that!

Something I found hard was not being scared.

Because I was really nervous.

Something I want to get better at is not being scared.

The Werewolf-monkey

A Werewolf-monkey is a TERRIFYING creature. This particular creature lurks in the night with the full moon out. If you come across this creature, RUN LIKE THE WIND! Just run. Don’t make too much noise, keep reading to find out why. This mammal is the most dangerous of rare animals because It can transform into a cute monkey. (Nek Minute) The cute little monkey is your worst nightmare! (Scary Music)

We are going right into the lives of: The werewolf monkey.

The werewolf monkey feeds on rotten bananas, unlike its normal monkey brother.

If a werewolf monkey eats a very ripe banana, it has a 50-50 % chance of being returned to normal.

On a full moon, this creature will grow more fur, claws, and will become much MUCH stronger. So BEWARE!

There are only a few left in the world. This is good because this is the most dangerous creature in the world!

The Werewolf-monkey has altered senses. He can smell from 20,00km away. He can hear you snore at night. (If you do snore)

He can see like he’s using binoculars! His fur can feel the change in the wind. He can feel you breath. So basically, he can hunt you down like a fish and a cat swimming together.

                  oh no, that poor fishy!

Race a Speedboat

Can you make a paper boat race across the water just by gently touching the surface of the water?

Hypothesis (What I think will happen)

I think that there will be a Dramatic change in the water, because of the washing liquid.

Like this:

Materials

Coloured card, washing up liquid, pencil or sharpie, scissors, large container of water.

Method (What we did)

We gently put our boats on the water, and tapped the water with washing liquid on our finger.

Observation (What happened)

Exactly what I predicted.

Conclusion (Why I think it happened)

The washing liquid must of broken the surface tension, causing the boat to go ZOOM

My year so far in Room 16 by Teva!

My favourite thing about being in Room 16 in 2013 was having my own blog, my own computer, and awesome learning tools.

Something I would like to do in term four is safe cycling.

Something I would like to do next year is to be in havelock (Which i am, even though i am out of zone!) and be in one of those Digi classes!

My dream jobs would be: Author, scientist, game designer, coder (Like my Uncle Andrew) OR IF ALL ELSE FAILS: Digital guide/digital teacher

The best thing about reading so far this year is actively learning.

The Earth Quake

WOAH! the classroom jolted straightforward.

I got scared.

We then rushed outside on to the courts because the bell was on fire alarm.

We all sat down,then I started to worry about my mum, is she okay?

Some teachers announced they did a mistake, instead of coming outside, we just have to duck, roll and cover.

We slowly walked back inside and went on to an earthquake website.

A lot of people in Hawkes Bay felt that earthquake!

That was exciting.

They eat worms and maggots

They have a very funny call that sounds like “More Pork!” So people have made this joke: More Bacon!

Threats: Stoats Ferrets and cats

Stoats Ferrets and cats danger all new Zealand native Birds Including More Porks.

Where they can live:

Moreporks can live among Rocks and roots, and they can live in tree branches.

Breeding/Mating:

The female can lay up to three eggs, but generally two, usually between September and November

Conclusion:

MorePorks are cool birds, also thought to be spirit birds, So next time you see one, Observe and see what the bird will do!

Camp Reflection.

Reflection for Camp

My goal for camp was to man up and try things.

I achieved this because of made dad helping me.

Something I was pleased with was Having such a fun time

                            

because it made me happy.

I really enjoyed learning the animal game

                  

because the animal game is awesome.

Something I found hard was trying not to cry when getting hit my tonnes of dodgeballs.

Something that made me think was when i was getting called in the animal game

because its quite fast-paced.

Going to the Mahia

“Come on Teva we’re going!”

It's Friday and I’m going on my dad’s holiday with him.

We’re going to Mahia on the edge of Hawkes Bay

I feel nervous about the trip.

My mum starts the car and as we pass the school I wave goodbye.

After about... 25 Minutes we stop at a gas station.

There’s my cousin! I wave to him and he waves back.

We follow our cousin’s car and then I hop in my cousin’s car

We chat and chat until we got bored.

My cousin started to feel sick a little.

We stopped at a restaurant and had some hot chips and mini-pies.

After that we kept going on our trip to Mahia, but on the way we got a text from my dad saying he’ll be late to Mahia.

Later we got to Mahia, and the house was AMAZING!

Bunk Beds, 2 Couches, 2 Stories, 2 Coffee Tables, 2 Showers, 2 bathrooms, 2 Every Thing!

Camp Day 3

Camp Day 3: Waterfall

We’re going to some waterfalls, They sound pretty huge!

WOAH! That waterfall is Huge MASSIVE!

Me and my dad stood together with the waterfall behind us. “Cheese!”

All of the water looks like hundreds of wrestlers wrestling under water.

The water tossed and turned like my dad when he hasn’t had enough sleep.

My friends and I stared into the rushing water, seeing where it leads.

I even wondered if there was a cave behind that waterfall, and I felt like it was a portal to another world.

The waterfall looked like Mr T firing his little friend.

Several people gasped when they got to the stone platform, I did too.

some people tried to look cool when getting there photo.

I felt like It was a huge jungle with extinct wild life in it.

We walked to the Cars and went back and had some tasty lunch.

Spaghetti and cheese toasties on the floor with paper instead of plates, Yum
